ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS
It is with much pain that I post the recent death of Anthony Marchetti. I valued Tony as a dear friend as
well as his lovely wife Neda. Tony was a good friend to all that met him and he will be forever missed.

MARCHETTI, Anthony J. Anthony J. Marchetti, 77, of Middletown, died Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at Sentara
Norfolk General Hospital in Virginia. He was born in Middletown, on February 12, 1930 to Nickola and Maria Marchetti. Mr.
Marchetti worked for Armco Steel Corp. for 45 years, retiring as a foreman in 1993. He graduated from St. John's in 1948 and
was a member of Holy Family Parish. He served his country in the United States Army with the Army Corp of Engineers, serving
in Korea. He was a member of the V.F.W. #3809, where he was commander of Cooties for 2 years, and the American Legion Post
218, where he was a past commander for 2 years and was still currently serving as finance officer, as he has been for 9 years.
He also had been on the American Legion Council for 3 years and had run the fish fry for 5 years. He was a commander of the
Butler County Veteran Service Commissioners and was currently serving as their president, was the head volunteer for the Middletown
VA Clinic, served as a committee member for the Veteran's Wall at Woodside Cemetery & Arboretum, and was the chairman
of the local Special Olympics. Tony also enjoyed bowling, softball, and basketball. Mr. Marchetti is survived by his wife
of 56 years, Oneda (Salyer) Marchetti; two sons, Steven (Vickie) Marchetti of Monroe and Terry (Cindy) Marchetti of Eleanor,
W.Va.; three daughters, Linda (Jay) Moorman of Middletown, Diana (David) Johnson of Springboro, and Kathy Marchetti-Nance
of Middletown; a sister, Mary Ann (Robert) Yauch of Middletown; thirteen grandchildren, Laurie Marchetti, Michael (Sarah)
Marchetti, Anna Marchetti, Peter Marchetti, Molly (Chris) Mengerink, Amanda (Mark) Shroyer, Zachary Marchetti, Jay (Holly)
Moorman, Derrick Moorman, Jessica Darney, William Johnson, Kyle Nance, and Nathan Nance; step grandchildren, Shawna Jewell,
James Johnson, and Kathy Schienelle; three great grandchildren, Cozette Mengerink, Maya Mengerink, and Raven Smith; and step
great grandchild, Gabrielle Rudd. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Achille 'Ike' Marchetti and Ameada
'John' Marchetti. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish -
St. John's Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Friday, September 28, 2007 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm
at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military
honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard. Memorial donations may be made to the local chapter of the Special
